Diagnosis: Autism. Toxic hepatitis
Dates of treatment: August 6-7, 2012
Three months after R.M. was treated in our clinic, his mother wrote us the following letter:
Update on stem cells
R. has done so well since receiving stem cells in early August. He was more connected almost immediately after getting the stem cells. He really focuses on what is around him and also follows directions very easily most of the time. This has continued to be seen.
He is now saying he is pain free for the most part. This started about 1-2 weeks after returning from Ukraine. He continues to say he feels like a million bucks. He has not been on the Vancyomycin or Gentamycin since receiving stem cells. He also has stopped the Sucralafate since August. He does take Ibuprofen when needed but that has been less than 10 times since August and he was getting it daily before stem cells.
Stools were a rusty, red color prior to stem cells with Dr Bradstreet thinking it was from R.’s significant dysbosis in his GI tract. His stools turned a normal color the night after receiving stem cells and continue to be that way. His stools are more formed and he has only experienced constipation when he was off the Magnesium Citrate.
R. did have a rough time of it in early October. He got a bad cold with a persistent cough, then was stung by a bee and his finger, it was swollen and hurt for several days. He also told us he was feeling different. A couple days later he was under high stress at school and had a partial complex seizure that lasted 1-2 mins. Dr Bradstreet increased his Lamcital to 150mg AM/PM. No seizures have been seen since.
R.’s eye contact is better and he is more willing to look at people when they are talking. We noticed this pretty much improve right away after stem cells.
He continues to learn and loves his new college experience, Wisconsin Independent Life College. He continues to share things he is learning but also his views and opinions using Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) – spelling on the letter board. He pairs it with verbal responses as well. He has shared some amazing things with us.
I have forwarded lab work we have had since returning from seeing you. I still need to get a couple more lab results and then will forward them. Overall, we do believe Rob is feeling better, communicates better and is happier since having stem cells. He has been sharing and recommending others to look at stem cells as his friends are all in pain as well.
Some differences we have seen are small but are very encouraging. He is able to “go with the flow” – this has been seen by his therapists as well as our family. J., R.’s sister, plays basketball now that her season has started. R. watches the games, cheers when baskets are made and just tolerates being in a loud noisy gym. This is different than last year for sure and this is just one example. He has some favorite music that we listen to in the car and now he is singing to the songs without being asked to – again just another difference.
We are so thankful for all that your team did for R. and our family. We believe that the stem cells have helped him more than we may realize. We are interested in looking at coming for another treatment in the summer if Dr Bradstreet and your team think that would be helpful to continue to heal R.
Sorry for the delay in this update. We are truly so appreciative for all that has been done. I am sending some things R. has shared with us since stem cells as well.
Let me know if you need more information. I will be happy to help.
Almost a year after the treatment, the mother of the patient informed us that R. wrote a short letter to the doctors using Rapid Prompting Method (PRM) with his therapist today. He spelled on the letter board and she wrote it down:
Dear EmCell Doctors,
I am R.M. and I will be coming to Kyiv to receive stem cells on July 3rd and 4th. You should know what a huge difference it has made in my life. Since I was there, I have been able to get off all of my meds for stomach and headaches. You also must know that my thoughts are much clearer. Thank you for your help and commitment for those of us with autism.
