Experience of EmCell Clinic in ALS treatment

We have analyzed the experience of treating 62 ALS patients at EmCell clinic. Treatment course comprised of administration of 4 cell suspensions containing mesenchymal, ectodermal and endodermal fetal stem cells harvested from the legally aborted embryos of 4–8 weeks of gestation. The number of stem cells in the suspensions equaled 0.1–100x105/ml, the volume of the administered suspension being 0,5–4 ml. In the tables below the patients groups and main post-transplant effects are presented.

After the stem cell therapy, 42 patients (67%) reported early post-transplant improvements lasting for 1 to 4 weeks. 27 patients (44%) reported clear end of this period, the main criterion being emotional.

Fetal stem cells treatment results depend on: disease's severity, age of the patient, adherence for the medications and regime. Treatment results, presented on this site, are individual for each clinical case.
