Diagnosis:
Chronic urethritis, prostatitis, pyospermia, sterility, hernia varicosa.
Case report
Patient Ts. A.A., born in 1971, was under observation at the Reseacrch Institute for Urology for 2 years, for reasons such as chronic urethritis, prostatitis, pyospermia, sterility, hernia varicosa. Antibacterial and hormonal therapy, as well as surgical treatment, resulted in improvement of ejaculate tests (increased amount of spermatozoa, increased percentage of living and mobile spermatozoa); however, stable pyospermia still existed. Leukocyte count in ejaculate was 30 to 40 in the visual field. Due to this fact, on September 22, 1995 transplantation of human lembryonic liver cells was carried out: sample embryo age, 7 weeks; volume, 1.5 ml. During transplantation, no side effects were observed. Upon transplantation, ejaculate analyses demonstrated positive changes manifested in decrease of leukocytes. After 3 days, the leukocyte count was 2 to 3 in the visual field. Further progress is given in Table. At present, patient’s wife is pregnant, pregnancy term is 5 months. After transplantation, the patient noted improvement of general condition and absence of colds during winter periods.
